Blast & Vac (Dustless Blasting)
Vacuum blasting – also known as dustless blasting – is an abrasive method, typically used in confined areas or where dust has to be kept to a minimum.
Although similar to other abrasive blasting techniques, vacuum blasting handles dust and dirt differently. Instead of releasing it into the air, like sandblasting, it’s collected inside the blasting machine.
When cleaning and preparing surfaces, a lot of dirt and debris can be generated during the process, which can harm the environment. However, the spent media and dirt will be contained within a blast head and removed by an electric or air-powered (pneumatic) vacuum, helping to minimise the mess and enhance safety.
